<p>Thanks for checking out my carnivirous vegan blog. <p><strong>Day 1: The Diet</strong></p>
<p>Today has been easy. I prepared all my shopping yesterday and I made sure I had enough vegan supply to keep me going. The hardest part of the diet is making sure snacks are available because I love snacking, I won&#8217;t cut it out, so I have to make sure I have the right food for snacking available. Hummous, celery and carrot sticks are a particular favourite of mine, as are olives and artichoke hearts. Today, it was the hummous and celery that won out as I munched my way through a fair sized amount.</p>
<p>I have had a <strong>black coffee </strong>and a <strong>sandwich</strong>.</p>
<p>The sandwich was bodged together with some soya and linseed bread (delicious) with soya spread, hummous, roasted red peppers, gem lettuce, tomato andjalipenos and olice oil. Normally, if I am making a vegan sandwich, I like to pack it full of ingrediants and try out new flavour combinations because, if you can&#8217;t eat meat, you want lots of flavour. That&#8217;s the best thing about the vegan diet; trying out all the new food products.</p>
<p>I spread the hummous on, added the other ingrediants and closed the sandwich. I then wrapped it in cling film and put it in the fridge with a carton of juice on top of it. The juice pressed the sandwich and allowed the oil to soak into the break and cobime all the lovely flavours of the sandwich. One hour later I tucked into the treat and it was great.</p>
<p>Tonight, for dinner, I shall be having vegetable curry; Aloo Saag, Mushroom Bhuna and tikka Dhaal with boiled rice. I can&#8217;t wait!</p>
